Angela Rafferty QC invited to speak at the Faculty of Advocates

Further to speaking at the Criminal Bar Association spring conference on issues surrounding vulnerable witnesses and the legislation and rules of practice and procedure relating to them, Angela Rafferty QC has been invited to speak at the Faculty of Advocates in Scotland at their conference in June 2016. Ms Rafferty will be speaking about the treatment of vulnerable witnesses in England and how the system works compared to the Scottish model.
The event will feature Scotland’s two senior judges, Lord Carloway, the Lord President, and Lady Dorrian, the Lord Justice Clerk, and among those joining them will be Lord Judge, the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, and Dame Joyce Plotnikoff and Dr Richard Woolfson, acclaimed researchers with a special interest in children and vulnerable adults in the justice system.
