18 February 2020

Chambers is delighted to announce that following a successful tender we have been appointed to the barristers’ panel of the London Borough’s Legal Alliance (LBLA), the membership of which comprises 19 London local authorities, the City of London Corporation and the London Fire Brigade. It is also available to authorities in Greater London and South-East England.

In recognition of our expertise in regulatory crime, we have been selected as legal advisers in ‘Criminal Litigation and Prosecutions’. This will entail the provision of advice and advocacy services across the full range of enforcement work undertaken by the member authorities, including:

— Trading standards and health and safety, including food safety and hygiene;

— Fraud in relation to all areas of local authority activities;

— Planning enforcement, licensing, education, housing and environmental crime;

— Restraint and Confiscation under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002;

The Framework Agreement will run for an initial period of 3 years.
