Jack Talbot successfully prosecutes historic sexual abuse matter

Jack Talbot recently concluded the prosecution case at Lewes Crown Court against Eric Jones, an eighty-five year old man who was found to have raped a vulnerable ten year old girl more than forty years ago. The retired man was committed of one count of rape against a young girl in the 1970s. Detective Constable Rees Hopcraft said: “The victim came and spoke to us in 2017 and explained how Jones had preyed on her when she was a vulnerable child. I would like to praise the bravery of the victim who has, after all these years, come forward to report the offences.”

Jones was sentenced to ten years and will be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life. For more information see press links below:
