Karim Khalil QC successful in drug related murder-robbery trial

Karim Khalil QC, instructed by CPS East of England, successfully prosecuted two men charged with murder at Chelmsford Crown Court recently. Bradley Johnson and Paul Sultana drove from London to Westcliff-on-Sea to rob their victim of cannabis plants he grew on his scrapyard. The victim, Steven Woodhouse, was killed by stab wounds: the fatal blow striking his heart. Steven managed to stagger back to his house, where his pregnant girlfriend tried in vain to assist him.
Johnson was sent down for 28 years, while father-of-one Sultana was given 25 years at Chelmsford Crown Court. For more information and press reports see below:
