Legal500 2017 rankings announced: Drystone Chambers recommended as 'Leading Set'

11 October 2017

Rankings for the 2017 Legal500 were announced today, and we are delighted to announce that we have received our best feedback to date. We are very proud to have received recommendations in eight practice areas, encompassing both London and Regional rankings. Some 22 Drystone members are recommended as leaders in their field ensuring we are, again, assured of our ‘Leading Set’ ranking.

We were described as possessing “a very good spread of very able barristers, particularly in relation to criminal law’. It goes on to state that ‘the sizeable team is headquartered from London, however a considerable number of barristers work only on the South Eastern, Midlands and Western Circuits.”

It also praises our already respected clerking team, stating “Mark Cornell leads the ‘first-class’ clerks, who will ‘always go the extra mile’. ‘The particular feature of this clerking team is that you can trust what individuals tell you and rely on their word.’ Richard Goodman and Ryan Bartlett stand out as ‘efficient and helpful’, and Stephen McCarthy is ‘awesome and just gets things done’.”

We especially pleased that are ranked in the Extradition/International Crime section as a set for the first time, as we are in the Midlands Crime section. We are, as ever, strongly represented in South Eastern and Western Circuit Crime as well as Fraud, POCA, Consumer Law and London Crime. To see what the directory says in full, click here.
