Michael Magarian secures murder acquittal at the Old Bailey

9 January 2019

Michael Magarian QC recently secured an acquittal for his client, charged with murder and manslaughter. Abdoul Boudabes, 39, was accused of shaking his eight week old son so violently that he suffered a number of bleeds on the brain, trauma to his spine and retinal haemorrhages. The trial lasted 5 weeks in front of the Common Serjeant at the Old Bailey and involved complex issues of medical causation and criticisms of interventions by paramedics and allegations of botched intubation at the hospital.
