Robert Bryan mitigates for Royal Marine Bandsman

Robert Bryan recently acted for a very talented member of the Portsmouth Royal Marine Band who, whilst suffering from a mental disorder, accrued very large debts. Over more than a year he stole instruments which he went on to sell on e-Bay to pay off what he owed. An initial investigation into missing instruments by the Royal Naval Provost drew a blank, but a subsequent investigation lead to his arrest and charge. Robert Bryan told the court his client suffered a form of bi-polar disorder that caused great swings in his mood. He said Higginson was a proud man who had been unable to talk to his family about his debts. For more information see press links below:
