SENTENCING UPDATE: CLAIRE MATTHEWS, LEADING STEPHEN MATHER, SECURE CONVICTIONS IN PEOPLE TRAFFICKING TRIAL

Further to our previous news item on this matter (see here) Maria Slavikova and her son Roman Slavik were sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court yesterday. Slavik, 29, was jailed for six and a half years, while his mother, 47, was sentenced to three and a half years.
Both were found guilty of two counts of fraud, while Slavik was also convicted of assisting unlawful immigration and arranging or facilitating the travel of a person within the UK for exploitation. Fore more information see press links below:
