8 October 2019
Immigration law specialist Sharmistha Michaels recently contributed to an article by Shaheen Mamun of Black Antelope Law regarding LGBT asylum claims for Bangladeshi nationals. As the article states: “Bangladesh remains one of 72 countries where homosexuality is illegal. Freedom House reported in 2017 that ‘societal discrimination (against LGBT persons) remains the norm’.”
